  • “Raconter l’exil, inventer le peuple : Palestinian contemporary artistic practices”

This paper explored how Palestinian women artists in exile use visual arts to express their experiences, preserve collective memory, and question dominant narratives, through an analysis of the works of Reem Alnatsheh and Amal Alnakhla.

  • “Entre mobilité et mémoire : femmes artistes exilées de la région SWANA, identités et chez-soi en transit”

This talk examined how women artists from the SWANA region engage with themes of displacement, exile, and the reconstruction of home, drawing on my doctoral research and the workshop From the Image, We Build Walls, a Roof, and Windows (Cairo).

  • “The Expression of Anger in Visual Works Created After 2011 by Exiled Women Artists from the SWANA Region”

Presented at the conference Feminine Anger, organized by CERCLL – University of Picardy Jules Verne (UPJV), Amiens, May 2025.

The conference explored emotions (particularly anger) through a critical and gendered lens, across various artistic and discursive media.

  • « La construction du nouveau Je dans le travail visuel des artistes femmes exilées de la région SWANA », Inter-Lignes Review, No. 36, 2025.

Research article published in the issue devoted to the theme « De l’art à la vie : quand le vécu Je se fait théorie ». It analyzes how artists such as Ninar Esber and Walaa Yassien use self-portraiture and self-representation to reconstruct a “new Self” in contexts of exile, questioning stereotypes, memory, and identity at the intersection of intimate exploration and collective dimensions.
