This photographic series presents analog photos taken through the windows of modes of transportation, in stations, train platforms, or during urban wanderings. The aim was to capture spontaneous moments reflecting a direct gaze upon the world.
As sociologist Alexis Nouss points out, migrants lose their sense of stability as soon as they leave their country of origin. Constant displacement and instability become integral components of their experience, even if they eventually return. This series seeks to freeze these ephemeral moments of motion, transforming them into stable visual fragments that can be revisited at any time.

Migrants face major upheavals in the cultural and social codes of their new environment. Raised within a given symbolic system, they find themselves confronted with new codes that often generate confusion and a sense of imbalance. Initially, they observe to decipher these codes before gradually integrating them. In this context, photography becomes a tool to materialize these observations and create a visual guide to better understand these unfamiliar public spaces.
